Too Much Stress May Leave You Sick and Tired

Author: Rick Young
Life is demanding, especially during times of extreme diligence - arranging the annual conference at work, for instance. So why is it that sometimes, when you need to give it your all, you fall short due to illness?

Experts say that stress may be to blame. In fact, this state of mental tension and pressure can hinder your immune system's ability to fight off infection and disease.

"The immune system is a double-edged sword," said Dr. Nicholas Hall, director of the Saddlebrook Resort Wellness Center in Tampa, Fla. "Too little immunity will leave you vulnerable to infection while too much is what characterizes autoimmune diseases such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. Hence, like so many things in life, balance is the key."

Complicating matters is the complex role played by cortisol, a chemical that is always present in the body but its levels are disrupted during times of high stress. When cortisol levels are too high, it can trigger a cold or flu. Levels that are too low may leave you feeling tired. Like the immune system, the levels of cortisol in your body need to be balanced in order to stay well.

Fortunately, studies show that some all-natural products, such as Vital StressX, can help you manage the effects of stress on your body.

Vital Stress X, available from CyberWize.com, contains seven unique herbs, called adaptogens, that were discovered by the Russian Academy of Sciences. Clinical studies show that these adaptogens can help reduce cortisol levels naturally and counter the effects of free radicals, particles in the body that can cause cell degeneration, cancer, aging and disease.

The adaptogens found in Vital StressX also are known to help boost energy and endurance, promote heart health, sharpen memory and alertness, build immunity and help fend off and repair damage to your body's cells.

"Adaptogens, found in Vital StressX, help to maintain a healthy immune system in the wake of the relentless stress which many people experience," Hall said.
